NBAA's online Contact Congress resource helps people in business aviation make their voices heard about the policies most important to them. Members of Congress are most attentive to their constituents, who live and work in the states and Districts Senators and House Members are charged with representing. NBAA's Contact Congress tool makes it easy for Association Members to weigh in with federal officials on the industry’s priority issues.

To begin using Contact Congress, chose one of the sample letters below. Individuals can use Contact Congress to send a prepared letter, or to send a letter about any issue they wish. Contact Congress messages are never sent without individuals’ review and approval. Additionally, NBAA never uses information submitted though Contact Congress for marketing purposes, or shares individuals’ information with other parties.

NBAA Letters to Congress


1. Tell Congress to Support A Reasonable Stage II Phase-Out: Congress is debating a phase-out of Stage II aircraft as part of a reauthorization package for the Federal Aviation Administration. Proposals for a Congressionally mandated Stage II phase-out, which have been anticipated for years, have been included in both the House and Senate versions of the reauthorization package. Tell your Members of Congress to support the Senate's version of the phase-out, which provides more time for businesses to retire the airplanes.

2. Tell Congress About the Value of Business Aviation: Send a letter to your Members of Congress explaining the importance of business aviation to companies and communities Across the U.S., and encouraging your elected officials to support proposals that protect the people and businesses in the industry.
