International Operators Scholarship
The deadline for the 2012 International Operators Scholarship has passed. The application for the 2013 scholarship will be available online by fall 2012.
The NBAA International Operators Committee is dedicated to promoting education and training as a means for individuals to enhance their safety knowledge and professionalism. To further this objective, NBAA offers the International Operators Scholarship in conjunction with three Member donors – Air Training International, Assessment Compliance Group, Inc. and UAS International Trip Support – to benefit business aviation professionals engaged in international operations. This scholarship applies mainly to those who are entering the business aviation industry or are seeking opportunities to expand their career in this industry.
Scholarship recipients will be announced at the NBAA 39th Annual International Operators Conference, to be held from March 12 to 15, 2012, in San Diego, CA. Funds may be awarded for amounts up to $10,000 per applicant, and awards will be redeemable under the conditions established by NBAA and its donors. Applicants are limited to receiving one award per person every other year; i.e., recipients of the 2011 scholarship are not eligible to apply for the 2012 awards, but they will be eligible to apply again in subsequent years.
Scholarship recipients must complete all professional/educational training by March 2014, or risk forfeit of the award. Funds awarded through this program will be paid directly to the recipient for reimbursement of expenses associated with the designated education and/or training classes, except in the case of full-time students, when payments will be made directly to the school.
A completed application package, which includes application form, one essay and at least one letter of recommendation, must be received by NBAA no later than 5:00 p.m. ET on December 1, 2011, to be considered for the scholarship. See application for full details.
