Flying Safety Awards
NBAA Flying Safety Awards are given annually for the period January 1 to December 31. Acknowledgments
are made during the Annual Meeting & Convention of the Association.
The NBAA Flying Safety Awards are testimony to the high degree of professionalism inherent
in business aircraft operations and a tribute to the skill and ability of a companys
management, maintenance, pilot and support personnel teams. These NBAA awards have brought worldwide
attention to the business aircraft safety record and have been endorsed and approved by the
National Safety Council.
The seven categories of awards are as follows:
- 50 Year Safe Flying Achievement Award – gives special recognition to Member Companies that have flown 50 years or more without an accident
- Corporate Business Flying Safety Award – given for accident-free years and hours flown
- Commercial Business Flying Safety Award – given for accident-free years and hours flown
- Aviation Maintenance Department Safety Award – given for accident-free years and hours flown
- Pilot Safety Award – given for accident-free hours flown
- Maintenance/Avionics Technician Safety Award – given for accident-free years of service to corporate/business
flight operations
- Aviation Support Services Safety Award – given for accident-free years of service to corporate/business flight operations
Before participating in the Flying Safety Awards Program, all Members should:
The NBAA Flying Safety Awards Rules & Regulations package, which includes application forms, is mailed to all Members that operate aircraft. Members also may download the 2008 application forms here:
All applications must be submitted to NBAA in hardcopy either via mail or
fax to (202) 331-8364. Applications must be postmarked no later than March
