Description
The Operations Committee's primary role is to assist the NBAA Board of Directors and Membership
with operational and training issues associated with the needs of pilots and flight attendants.
The Committee is engaged in evaluating training issues pertinent to NBAA Members, promoting
the NBAA Standards of Excellence in Business Aviation, and informing the NBAA Membership of
emerging technologies in the industry. NBAA Members can forward questions, comments or suggestions
to the Committee Chairman or the NBAA Staff Liaison.

Summary of Recent Action

Developed the Standards of Excellence in Business Aviation Program (SEBA) in collaboration
with the Flight Attendants, Schedulers & Dispatchers and Maintenance committees to
encourage continuing education practices within the business aviation community.

Hosted the Emerging Technology Forum at the 2004 NBAA Annual Meeting and Convention
which focused on Electronic Flight Bags.
- Updated the goals of the Committee to focus on training, vertical lift and emerging technology
issues
- Revised training guidelines were incorporated into the June, 2003 revision of the NBAA
Management Guide, creating new section about advance flightcrew training
- Provided recommendations on the Enhanced Flight Vision Notice of Proposed Rulemaking
