The FAR Part 135 Committee addresses the special requirements of the segment of NBAA’s
Membership that operates under the authority of a commercial certificate and/or a fractional aircraft program. NBAA Members can forward questions, comments or suggestions to the Committee Chairman or the
NBAA Staff Liaison.

Summary of Recent Action
- Participated in revamping the FARs to reflect the realities of operating under FAR Parts 135 or 125 by engaging in various FAA Part 135/125 Aviation Rulemaking Committee working groups, which addressed operational, training, airworthiness and applicability issues
- Represented the Part 135 Industry on FAA's proposed landing distance assessment regulatory initiative
- Advocated on behalf of Part 135 operators and owners on FAA's A008 OpSpec
- Represent 135 Industry on FAA/Industry Operations Specifications Working Group
- Participate in FAA Turbine Aircraft Operators Subcommittee
- Wrote educational articles for Part 135 operators providing tips and recommendations
- Developed and delivered information sessions of interest to Part 135 and potential Part 135 operators and customers at NBAA Annual Meeting and Convention
- Presented on current regulatory issues at NBAA educational seminars, such as Regional Forums and the Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference
