Angie G. Fariñas, CPA

Controller
As NBAA's controller, Angie Fariñas oversees the management of NBAA's finance and accounting function. She brings over a decade of financial experience exclusively serving the not-for-profit community to NBAA.
Before joining NBAA in June 2005, Fariñas served as assistant director of accounting with the National Cable and Telecommunications Association in Washington, DC, where she was responsible for financial reporting, review and analysis for a $34 million budget. She began her career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen LLP and then with Feddeman & Company. After her experience in public accounting, Fariñas held key senior leadership roles as vice president of finance and human resources with the American Financial Services Association and as comptroller with the International Institute of Boston. Over her professional career, Fariñas has been directly involved in the finances of various tax-exempt organizations, including associations, foundations, political action committees, trusts, federally funded organizations and others.
Fariñas earned a B.S. in accounting with honors from the University of Delaware and studied abroad in Geneva, Switzerland, and Granada, Spain. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. Fariñas is also a competitive rower and triathlete.
