Based in Fullerton, CA, this specialty-engineering firm (Booth 3241) provides a variety of custom-designed and engineered products for aircraft – from water systems to cockpit controls, latches and toggle bars to oxygen control systems, and new this year, electric window shade systems. “We’ve been exhibiting at NBAA for 15 years,” said Dan Scandalito, eastern region sales manager. “It reinforces what we do, getting to see our customers face to face, seeing what’s new in the industry.” The company, which employs about 250 people at its manufacturing facility in Fullerton, is owned by TransDigm Group, Inc., in Cleveland, OH, holder of highly engineered component product makers for the commercial and military aerospace industries. “The challenge for us is to design with the use and weight requirements in mind and still maintain aesthetic appeal,” said Adam Lang, hardware product manager. “This company started in 1896,” he said, so it must be doing something right.
