NBAA Management Fundamentals for Flight Departments Workshop

Held in conjuction with NBAA Flight Operations Manual Workshop, June 27-28, 2008.
The two-day NBAA Management Fundamentals for Flight Departments Workshop gives flight department managers key information about safe operations, regulatory compliance, basic management practices, budgeting and accounting, cost controls, vendor selection and tracking, records and reports, planning for the future and other issues.
Features of this program include an entire section on personnel issues, an emphasis on internal and external communications, mini-case studies to stimulate class participation and extensive notes, templates, forms and checklists useful in daily flight department operations. This interactive program will provide many new ideas and tips, resulting from extensive interaction between fellow managers.
This course meets PDP (Professional Development Program) Objectives AM2 and AM5.

Walter Kraujalis is president of AeronomX, a consulting firm specializing in aviation investments, and business and management development. He is an attorney and former corporate flight department manager. He formerly was the director of safety for USAIG and holds an ATP pilot certificate in fixed- and rotor-wing aircraft with eight diferent type ratings. Additionally, Walter has published numerous articles and given presentations on various aspects of the business of corporate aviation and operations. He will be presenting the Workshops with a guest speaker who is active within corporate aviation management.
