Schedulers, Dispatchers Can Continue Networking Via S&D Air Mail
Savannah, GA, January 30, 2008 – Taking advantage of the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers (S&D) Conference’s many educational sessions – either on-site or through distance-learning options such as podcasts and videos – is one of the greatest Member benefits for NBAA schedulers and dispatchers.
But another Member benefit that all schedulers and dispatchers can enjoy everyday is the Schedulers & Dispatchers Air Mail list, an e-mail discussion list with more than 1,000 subscribers set aside for collaboration and discussion on topics of interest to schedulers and dispatchers. Through Air Mail, NBAA Members can communicate their concerns, questions, gripes and insights with their fellow Members on nearly any topic relevant to the group.
An e-mail message sent by a subscriber to the S&D Air Mail discussion list is broadcast to everyone on that list. Air Mail messages also are archived on NBAA’s web site. Right now, there are more than 400 archived messages – which can be sorted by date posted, subject and author – that cover a range of topics, from how to obtain landing slots at a particular airport, to when the next S&D regional group meeting will be held.
A recent software upgrade also has improved S&D Air Mail dramatically – delivery speed now is over 10 times faster. Perhaps best of all, schedulers and dispatchers can use this list to continue networking with all the new friends they meet at the S&D Conference.
Only S&D list subscribers may post messages to the list. Just make sure to review the rules of participation before subscribing. To subscribe or to get more information, visit www.nbaa.org/airmail.
