NBAA Welcomes DHA/TSA Plans to Reopen DCA to General Aviation

May 25, 2005 • Washington, DC

NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen today welcomed a plan introduced by the Department of Homeland Security and Transportation Security Administration to resume general aviation operations at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). "This is great news for the business aviation community, the Washington region and the nation,” Bolen said. “The plan ... represents a significant breakthrough in our long-standing effort to promote access to airports and airspace for the general aviation community.”

Ed Bolen (center) thanks Sen. George Allen (R-VA, at left) and Rep. Harold Rogers (R-KY, at right) for their work to reopen Washington National Airport to general aviation. At the same event, Bolen thanked several other members of Congress for their work to reinstate general aviation operations at DCA.
