CAM Governing Board Conducts Business in Washington
May 31-June 2 , 2006 Washington, DC
From May 31 to June 2, the Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) Governing Board met at NBAA’s Washington, DC, Headquarters to conduct the business of the CAM Program. Meeting agenda items included:
- The development of a policies and procedures manual.
- A report by Bill Hogan of Applied Measurement Professionals (AMP) on the results of a CAM Program marketing survey.
- The recertification process that will be required for existing Certified Aviation Managers. CAM certificates are valid for a three-year period, so the original group of Certified Aviation Managers who took the initial CAM Exam in October 2003 will be the first ones eligible for re-certification in October 2006.
In addition, during the three-day meeting, Dr. Thomas Q. Carney of Purdue University, chairman of the governing board, officially presented new Certified Aviation Manager James R. Mrkacek, of GROWMARK, Inc. in Bloomington, IL, with his official CAM certificate.
The CAM Test Item Development Committee also met to develop and review test questions for upcoming exams. The next CAM Exam will be administered on October 16, 2006, in New Orleans. Applications for the October exam are due to NBAA by August 31. For more information about the CAM Program, e-mail cam@nbaa.org or visit www.nbaa.org/cam.
