FAA Deadline Is Looming for Part 125 Airplane Operations
Operators of airplanes configured for 6,000 pounds or more of payload capacity and 20 or more passenger seats must comply with all of Part 125 or
have obtained authority from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under Part 125.3 for specific deviations. The FAA will grant letters of
deviation authority (LODAs) to operators, allowing them to transport personnel, property and guests. The long-established March 31 deadline for
operators to receive the necessary authorization is rapidly approaching, and NBAA urges operators to act quickly and work with their flight standards
district office (FSDO) to obtain this authority, given the requirements that must be addressed, including: manual, airplane, operational, special
airworthiness, instrument and equipment, training, testing and maintenance. For more information, contact NBAA's Operations Service Group at info@nbaa.org or visit:

Where Can I Find FAA Inspector Handbook Guidance?
Operators seeking guidance on FAA inspections can refer to the inspector handbooks, located in the Flight Standards Information Management System
(FSIMS). As of September 13, 2007, the Airworthiness Inspector's Handbook (FAA Order 8300.10), Air Carrier Operations Inspector's
Handbook (FAA Order 8400.10) and General Aviation Operations Inspector's Handbook (FAA Order 8700.1) all were cancelled, and the
information was consolidated into FAA Order 8900.1. To view the information and learn more, visit the FAA web site at:

SID and STAR Changes Implemented at Washington, DC-Area
Airports
The FAA has made several changes in standard instrument departures (SIDs) and standard terminal arrival routes (STARs) at Dulles International (IAD)

STARs have been cancelled at DCA and IAD: MANNE4, JASEN4 and CSN2. The FINKS7 and BUCKO7 also have been cancelled at DCA, where three new STARs are
now in effect: the SHNON1, ROYIL1 and WZRRD1. Additionally, the ELDEE STAR has been revised for DCA. These routes all are from the west, approaching
through Cleveland Center (ZOB) and Indianapolis Center (ZID). The changes took place on December 12, and will be posted daily on the FAA's advisory
database until the changes have been made permanent. For more information, visit:
